Looking for an original logo design (additional supporting web banner/web art also welcome) for a rebranding of my psychology research laboratory - the "Control and Adaptive Behavior Laboratory" (CAB Lab) at Temple University. The old lab website, before the rebranding, can be found here: cla.temple.edu/tunl.

"Control" = self-regulation, executive functioning, cognitive control
"Adaptive Behavior" = Optimal or strategic decision making and action when time is limited, information unreliable, the future uncertain, arousal high, and in the face of distraction.

The logo, which will be used on the website, on letterhead documents, and in media should feature the brain, mind, or cognition in some way (this can be symbolic rather than literal).

Please do not include any copyrighted/protected imagery in your design.

What we actually do in the lab: The lab uses cognitive neuroscientific techniques (neuroimaging, MRI) to explore the development, training, and use of self-regulatory CONTROL in the service of ADAPTIVE BEHAVIOR. This work includes studies on: mechanisms of working memory and cognitive control; enhancement of cognition through training; development of cognitive control and its role in adolescent decision-making; links between self-regulation, cognitive and affective functioning, and technology habits (e.g., social media and smartphone use).

    I understand that the layout may work best if "Control & Adaptive" appear on one line and "Behavior Laboratory" (or "Lab") appear on another line. I can certainly live with that. However, since "Adaptive Behavior" is the operative term, it would good if these words can be kept together (or presented in the same font/color), but in a way that doesn't disrupt the overall quality of the design.
