OVERVIEW: The logo will consist of the company name and an icon.

COMPANY NAME: Copper + Friant
Please note that it uses a "+" sign, not an "&" sign

COMPANY DESCRIPTION: This is a boutique management consulting firm that provides companies with fractional (hourly) executive management services. Our specialization is serving as a part-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to companies that want/need the expertise of a CFO but don't want to pay the high cost for one 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Create a dynamic, attractive logo including the name (Copper + Friant) and an icon to be described below. We would like both a 2D and 3D version in vector format. YOU CAN SUBMIT 2D VERSIONS UNTIL FEEDBACK HAS BEEN PROVIDED AND A 3D VERSION IS REQUESTED.

ICON: There is symbolism in the logo. Our cross-streets are Copper and Friant Avenues. That is where the name comes from. The first letters are "C" and "F", which almost spells "CFO". We would like an icon that is shaped like a circle. Inside the circle, we'd like it to symbolize "fractional".

TIPS: Copper is close to the color of gold. So for the word "Copper" you might explore colors in that spectrum--or use the same color for "Copper" and "Friant", but a gold color for the "+". Whatever looks good. Be creative and experimental. You never know what will catch the eye.

In order for the icon to look fractional, you might consider puzzle pieces, or a mosaic, etc. Again, be creative.

It would be nice if we could easily point to the "C" "F" and "O" of the logo and explain to clients that it represents the fractional "CFO" services we provide, or that they would come to that conclusion on their own.

How about a 3D sphere with a missing puzzle piece?

THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT THAT THE ICON HAVE THE LETTERS "C" "F" AND "O" IN IT! The shape should be round. But it can also be something like a sphere. After a quick search I found several images of a sphere/globe that has cracks, fractures of puzzle pieces. As an idea, what there was a sphere with all but one missing puzzle piece? Or cracks where the only missing crack is a "plus" sign? (These are just ideas I came up with, but can be played around with.) I have uploaded basic photos on the Description to show examples of a fractional "O" or sphere.

Just because an entry received 3 or 4 stars with an icon that uses a "C" and an "F", doesn't mean that's the icon we require. Read the description of what we'd like for the Icon and come up with creative ideas, rather than play off of someone else's design.
