Contest Brief

A cover for a forthcoming book called "Internet Wars: The struggle for power in the 21st century".

The book is for a popular, general audience in the US, UK and Australia.

It uses a large number of vivid stories to explore the big questions about how the Internet is disrupting the world as we have known it, and how the world must build new understandings in response. It deals with political, economic and military power shifts caused by the Internet.

There have been a lot of military-themed concepts (understandably from the title). However, the book is also about the political and economic power. So it would be good to get some concepts that go speak more broadly than a purely military theme: for example more about the Network.

The cover size is 6x9 inches.

  the whole planet. It includes political power (eg arab spring, online activist campainging eg Change.org petitions, campaign politics online), economic power (eg huge companies that are taking a dominant role online eg Google, Apple) and military power (states stealing military secrets, cyber warfare etc).
