We need to design packaging for a automotive product.

The package will consist of the following :
Box - Lower Tray
Box - Cover/Lid
Paper Sleeve

The outer dimensions of the box will be 16" x 16" x 2.5" .

The reason we are switching from our current design is so the BOX will be universal for different part categories, etc. We will just change the SLEEVE for different product classes.

The box will be VERY simple. We are going for simple , yet elegant. The whole box will just be flat black, and on the center of the "Lid" will be the "Boninfante" logo in black foil. That will be the only thing on the top lid of the box. on the left side of the "lid" will have the text "Born From Top Fuel Technology". The right side of the "Lid" will have the text "Since 1988" .

The bottom tray will have nothing, it will just be flat black.

The SLEEVE will basically be a paper sleeve that slides over the box to keep the lid on, as well as be specific to this product class. The design on the SLEEVE will have more details. It should include our logo, a picture of the product, and maybe a picture or graphic of a drag racing car or drag race track or something. Our products are born from drag racing, but this product category is more for high power street cars, not necessarily drag racing, so keep that in mind when making the design. Other info that can be incorporated in the design is the below text :

Engineered to outperform
1 Piece design for increased strength, durability, and rotational efficency
Triple heat treated to eliminate stress and frequency cracking
Spin tested to 20,000RPM
Case hardened for extreme durability and surface protection

You may include or exclude any of the images or logos as you see fit. You may work outside of what I have described also. Be as creative as you can.

All entries will need to be in .psd and .pdf format. Entries should include the graphics on a TEMPLATE, as well as renderings of what the actual finished product would look like.

Template sizes should be as follows:
Box Lid: Top surface: 16"x16"
4 sides surface: 16" x 2.5"

Sleeve: 16" x 37"

I have also attached a picture of a magnet that is associated with these parts. This has nothing to do with the design, just wanted to show the design. Also attached are images of a competitors box to show the style of box and sleeve we are going for here.
