Art Work for a Browser Based Grand Strategy MMO
We require artwork for a browser based game similar to games such as illyriad.co.uk and travian.com - In each of these games there is a basic background image for the city with empty plots for buildings.

We require two 960x640 images, one for a city and one for an outer resource area (See Travian Images). The city should accommodate 20 buildings of size 100x100, with a central area for a keep/castle, and the outer area should fit 25 resource plots, also 100x100.

Around the city there should be space for a wall with 4 different designs: Wooden Palisade, Wooden Wall, Stone Wall, Fortified Stone Wall.

There are 28 individual buildings and 5 different resource types.
Buildings:
Keep/Castle
Granary – Stores Food
Warehouse – Stores Resources
Fletcher – Creates bows
Blacksmith – creates swords
Grove – Creates staves
Poleturners Workshop – Creates spears
Ranch – Creates cows/horses
Tanner – creates leather armour
Armourer – creates plate armour
Siege Workshop – creates siege equipment
Market – trades goods
Consulate – Allows for diplomatic actions
Tavern – Allows information to be traded
Altar/Temple – Creates special weapons, resurrects commanders
Military Institute – recruits commanders
Flour Mill – increases food production
Saw Mill – increases wood production
Masons Lodge – increases stone production
Foundry – increases iron production
Kiln – increases clay production
Archery Range – recruit archers
Swordsmans Barracks – recruit swordsmen
Spearmans Barracks – recruit spearmen
Mages Guild – recruit mages
Equestrian Outpost – recruit mounted units
Divination Tower – adds magical bonuses to the town
Sentry/Guard Tower – adds defensive bonuses to town
Construction plot – scaffolding or building site to indicate something is being built here

For this contest we would like to see a design for the two background images and a minimum of 5 sample buildings before we select a winner to complete their work.

Please see the attached image for examples and note that these are just guidelines - we would like to see art work that holds its own stylistic character. Architecture should reflect that of a medieval/fantasy setting.

    Still working on it but just a quick question, the resource area can be around the close village circle like travian or a nearby area to the main place? or we can be creative with it

      The placeholder art is already set in the same way as in travian - 2 maps with one showing the resource plots surrounding the city. If you can fit all 25 resource plots and 20 buildings on one map then we dont mind restructuring it - we did worry that the images for each building/plot would be too small this way though. Also bear in mind that the resource distribution changes for each biome. So the Food-Iron-Wood-Clay-Stone distribution is normally 5-5-5-5-5 on grassland but 3-5-5-7-5 in swamps.
