Need a logo redesigned for oil & gas client.

Current logo is attached; link to website www.next-decade.com
We need something modern using a darker shade of blue as the primary color, but open to another primary color and additional accent colors (orange, light green)
Color can be in the actual graphic or in the text
May be good to put color in the inside circle of the knot, which is meant to represent a globe
In the current logo (attached), you’ll see that there is a fade and several colors.We do not want this style as it is difficult to print
Make sure that NEXT is bold, and DECADE is normal (their ticker symbol on the NASDAQ is NEXT so it makes sense)
DO NOT USE “A Portfolio LNG Company” in your design
We can work with a horizontal and vertical version

I've also included a logo idea that we came up with that may help.

Last thing, we'd prefer a FLAT design - NOT a 3d design like the original logo
