  Please try find methods that do not require the discussion leader to know everything, nor spend too much time moderating user inputs.
  
  If there are tens of thousands of users making suggestions, each user should not have to read all the suggestions from other users.

     So maybe organizing the users through with a proper rating system and even a recent tab could be effective to organizing content for users. (maybe even more than upvotes or additionally?)

  Here are some considerations from individual proposals, that may be useful to all proposals.
  
  James Surowiecki in Wisdom Of Crowds, states that users need to decide independently, to reach a good decision. On the other hand, most people think that a better decision requires that users get better information than what they started with. So that's a tough balance to make. Is there a way to preserve the information, without re-introducing the problems of "groupthink", and without taking up too much user time?
