  For all I've seen around, #1865 by Yury R is the best of what's rated higher. Gave it a Like. The rest, a bunch of generic combinations of lines/colors, overused letter cutouts and copycats. I'm not even fighting for mine ( #1853 ) because obviously the CH is drifting. For instance, he asked to "keep it simple" on the entry #1670 and #961 by Raul G. was given 3 stars while is an earlier and cleaner "version". Inconsistency throughout contests is typical. An obvious example is #1279 - such a bad entry that most of you can ask yourself, "what did the CH see there?" Well, he saw triangles and checkmarks within the letters. WOW, such a creative work! The same story over and over again. Looking for cheap labor - buying poorly executed compositions. What's funny is that most of participants don't even know what spacing, balancing or kerning is. But no worries, the CH has less clue than they do. Good luck to everyone!

     I appreciate you taking the time and walking me through your process, but that doesn't explain a lot of things. You were risking it phonetically when you decided to go for the Spanish version of Membrane (unintentionally, but you switched languages). I doubt you counted on your client's ability to correctly spell your brand while standing in front of a store clerk. None of the 2K+ proposed logos are creative, you can't achieve it for roughly $250 USD. It takes time, lots of research and a neat execution. So me, as a designer, I think about lots of variables when I put pixels together.

     For instance, I didn't use a free or licensed font (unlike the rest of the entries), I developed a custom typography. Inspired by Magenta, but personalized. I didn't care about running the extra mile, because I still believe in great results. About the designs you've rated highest, I can visually place them on your toys division (as CAT does), but not on professional safety gear. Protection is the most valuable service you can offer, so I'm sorry that I keep saying you can't place a childish drawing on your helmets.
