Hello all, I have a piece of software that can play videos. In order to properly play videos, currently I need to re-encode them using FFMPEG to a format the videoplayer likes. In this case I'm using the Quicktime Prores-codec to do that, which results in big filesizes. However, the videoplayer also has it's own proprietary file format which is an AVI with a specific codec. Now that codec is not available in FFMPEG, but since FFMPEG is open source, I can imagine that someone could add it to the list of supported codecs? I don't have any information about the codec, but I do have an installer that installs the codec onto a machine so it can be used by other tools such as After Effects for example to export natively in that codec.
