Hi, I’m Nzingha, and I’m working on designing halo hairpieces specifically for protective hairstyles for natural hair, like braids, locs, and mini twists. I have a concept and a rough prototype, but it’s still very much a work in progress and not a finished product. I’m looking for someone to work with me physically to help complete the design. We need a basic design for the support of the outside section of a belt cross conveyor. The weight of the conveyor is 43lb/ft, with an additional 40lb hopper on the supported end. I need a materials engineer to map out a complete, production-ready method for joining a thin plastic/polymer insert—think credit-card size and stiffness—to a woven or knitted textile so that the final composite behaves like part of a normal bed sheet. Durability is the overriding goal: the bond must stay intact through repeated flexing, laundering, and everyday use without adding noticeable bulk or stiffness. The plastic strip must remain reasonably flexible along its length, while the fabric side should be able to accept a liquid-phase treatment or resin.
