PHP mysql contacts site, with followup

I have setup a 4 table mysql database, one to manage contacts, one for followup, anolther for users and another for purchasers. The basic concept is that the End User logs in, fillis out a form that inserts the contact information into the database. Then with the followup table users can tracks how and when the contact is to be or has been contacted. Each contact can be assigened a user and each contact can become a purchaser. Also so that every contact is communicated to properly there is a follow up table to track when, how they have been contacted. Some of the followup is automatic, like every contact gets a thankyou for visiting letter or those contacts that are A or B contacts will be contacted again in 30 days from input into the DB. The users need to be able to search for their contacts or all contact, whit can be based on qualtiy, due date or type of interest. Management would like to know about the contacts. The collected data can be exported so that reports can be generated showing how the conatct found out about the project and what they were interested in. I have input, add delete forms setup currently and the login. There is a simple search also. What I need help with is creating a search that allows the user to pick the fieds to search on, with multiple search options, for exapmle find all a leads, that are from california, looking for lake front views or search the follow Up table, where date = leads need to be contact within the week. Also I would like to be able to auto enter into the follow up table the thankyou letter record for each new contact. Form the Folow up table I would like to display just those records that pertain to the contact currently being viewed, ie, fromthe list of contacts, select a contact to view all of the follow up records, with the contact info appearing at the top and a repeating table at the bottom showing the follow up records. There are other items that concern data entry, that I may take care of myself. So in general I would like to add to the current site. Create some auto entry items, along with advanced search capabilities.
