Trade Copier Software

Hi, I am Forex trader and also MQL4 programmer in addition to VB,C#,C++,MQL4 programming languages. In addition to that I am also developing solutions for TradingStation, TradeStation, NinjaTrade, cTrader, TWS from IB, JForex and FT2. I am ready to discuss and doing your project. Thank you for the invitation. Its really an interesting project and will do it nicely. My system will work in a distributed location and you can have more than one MASTER or SLAVE to perform the copying. TS2 will act as MASTER and there can be multiple SLAVEs if it is needed. The copying trade will be as per the registered trade ticket of TS2.. so at MT4 side you can trade manually also without intervening the trades that are being copied from TS2 MASTER. A server application will be developed that will act as mediator between TS2 and MT4 platforms. lot of things need to be discussed for it so I just keep the details simple here. The whole system will work transparently and will not intervene to any other trades if that is done at TS2 or MT4 sides. I will build the whole system (3 parts in total, TS2 MASTER, MT4 SLAVE Expert and a SERVER application) using C programming so that the speed of execution will be the fastest. Few details I am not detailing here and will be discussed if my proposal is Ok with you and we initiate the conversation. Completion time is mentioned a bit lengthy because C programming needs lots of coding part and testing the mechanism will need time too, but I will try the best to deliver as early as possible. Hi there, i think i can work in your project. i worked with tradestation lua programming language only once like 2 or 3 years ago and made a strategy for a client, worked fine. one of the keys to your project is to export account data(open trades, stop loss, etc) from the fxcm to some sort of database(mysql or file, whatever). the hardest part is to get that done as then in mt5 we are constantly reading the generated database from tradestation. after this, the other problem most copiers have is that the feed will not be the exact same in the 2 platforms and that even if they were, the trades will not match execution prices. thinking in all the possibles scenarios is the other key to make a good trading copier. i like the project, i can give you more details of all the steps in a most formal way if you are interested.

Hi. I can do this copier for you. From what i read, tradestation have web api. I have done 2 EAs calling Web API so this one should not be a problem. I will research more on tradestation api. Thank you, Asyraf

Hello, Thank you for the invitation. I assume that you are aware of MT4 limitations. Both on trading side, not having all orders functionality as on more advanced platforms like TS, IB TWS and similar, and on technical side(for example you cannot push an order event with minimum possible lag, instead a pull must be done from an MT4 script which will happen only at a tick event, or preferable what comes first from tick + timer as market data can have even seconds ticks events breaks depending on MT4 broker, instrument, market activity). For communication with minimum lag if same machine, COM, memory mapped files or other fast IPC can be used but if speed not most important sockets probably best as would allow decoupling from same machine when needed. On TS side the sending should be by tskit or dll call from EL,but their web api could be a choice too. What best depends on the origins of manual/automated trades, for example if a strategy in TS, order should go from strategy code as soon as there is a signal to not lose significant time until broker confirming the order and position appearing on TS platform. Would be other details about added logic what to be done when things go wrong(order partially filled or rejected on master or slave, failed to put sl/tp), if any positions scaling etc, together with choices on approach could make a difference on timeline so initial bids probably to not be considered accurate or firm proposals, until more details clear.
