Automate process with mulesoft

We are looking for someone with experience with MuleSoft. Currently we rely heavily on bash scripts to send/receive files between us and external partners. We would like to try out Mule for these kinds of tasks and would like to start with a simple process which we need to implement for a new partner. We need to setup processes to retrieve monthly and yearly files from an sFTP location. If the files are available they should be backed up to a bucket on AWS S3, provided as a parameter to startup a java process (which we could add as dependency). If the files are not available, the process should retry the next day. If the files aren’t available after 3 attempts (= 3 days) an email should be sent to notify us. The process to send this email would preferably be AWS SES. Only after the files are uploaded to s3, may they be removed from the sFTP location. We need you to configure Mule and write documentation around this so we know how to maintain this and set up additional processes. It’s important for us that we gain the knowledge to maintain this ourselves as this software is really new to us. We are currently using Anypoint studio 6.6 and Mule runtime CE 3.9.
