Employee Clock in/out System – Using Face Identification The project requires building a 2-part solution. 1) Android application - Face identification 2) Web admin, for employee manager Solution explanation : The hardware in use is currently an 8inch camera facial recognition device, from Alibaba, that comes bundled with MIPS software. We need a custom solution that strips out all functionality of the existing system, and purely builds a clock-in system that will utilize the camera for capturing employee face, date, and timestamp. It is an Android device. Device PDF attached Employee Manager will use a web administration interface to set up various parameters like: Work schedules, leave requests, employee details (name, ID number, date of employment, termination etc). Clock in calculation will be based on the work schedules set up the Shift Manager. The system will allow Manager to view employee clock in/out statistics, export data to Excel, CSV to import data into Sage VIP Payroll, to generate employee pay slip. The solution will therefore run on the Android terminal for capturing/registration of employee faces. As for the Shift Manager, he or she will be using a Windows PC, on a Web-based interface.
