My friend has applied for Social Security benefits and was denied. This letter is part of the appeal process, where she needs to paint a clear picture of her condition, and basically, why she unable to work. The letter she's written is quite lengthy, and since she's not much of a writer, it's not structured or formatted the best it could be. (EXCERPT) "At the time of this surgery, the surgeon told us that my Hernia was huge and that I needed to be careful so it wouldn't get worse and that activity would need to be limited. This then lead to me to start treatment for my recent diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes. My treatment included daily insulin injections which caused me extreme nausea and continued my ongoing stomach and intestinal issues due to my Hernia as well as my new meds. Then in the fall of 2014, my doctor diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism and Hypertension that are conditions that go hand in hand with Type 2 Diabetes."
