I'm looking for someone very familiar with file I/O and databases to tell me what database format a particular file is in. The file is too big to be attached to this project (approx 9MB), but it is from a piece of MP3 playing disc jockey equipment.
The database contains all of the tag, path, encoding info about all imported MP3s and I have a need to create/edit these files from my Microsoft .Net 2.0 application.
The file could be a known DB format or a proprietary format requiring a little reverse engineering. It doesn't look to be encrypted, as I can read song titles, etc. from within an Hex Editor.
After you determine the file format, I'll need instruction as to how I can read/write to these files from within an application built upon the MS .Net 2.0 framework. This may involve pointing me in the direction of a suitable class library or creating a small class library that I can utilize. (Additional funds can be negotiated if this needs to be completed.)
This project has the potential to be very easy for the right person, since the file may actually be readable/writable with a current DB engine. I just don't recognize the format and need some assistance in identifying it.
Thanks VERY MUCH. I look forward to working with you!
Jason
Hi. I do a lot of work with all sorts of common (Access, Oracle, etc) and far less common databases. Please click 'View PM' for further information. I might be able to knock this over very quickly.

Good day!
I am placing a reasonable amount on my bid which includes the parsing of the existing data (if data-binding in .NET 2.0 can't handle it) and the small application for data entry.
I have done similar projects in the past and I'm familiar with your requirements.
Please see my pmb for more details on my technical experience.
I'm looking forward to working with you.
Thanks,
