GPRS based communication to AVR Microcontroller

I want to make a product using AVR microcontroller & a GPRS modem. This microcontroller can be an XMega microcontroller connected to a GPRS Module & a 2G/ 3G SIM card. I should be able to fetch data from a remote PC from this microcontroller. Right now I need only the communication part done. I will design the product further upon this startup.
