Looking for an experienced NGINX *module* programmer. The purpose of the module is to perform a callout to an external web service to determine if the HTTP request is allowed.
Our product is an security/SSO/Web Access Management product and the NGINX module will enable NGINX web servers to enforce the security decisions made by our product. You must be able to set up your own NGINX development environment and code the module. We will provide instructions for you to connect your development environment to our online test server. We will also supply source code for similar modules written for Apache, .Net, and a Java servlet filter, which you can use and reference as examples. We also have the API that describes the callout between the module and our SSO/Rest Gateway product. The callout is a simple JSON-based web service.
The deliverables are:
1) The completed NGINX module, which must work on both the open source and commercial versions of NGINX
2) Complete and validated documentation that we can follow to set up our own test environment
3) All source code
After the initial project is completed, we will like to maintain a long term relationship with you to maintain and update the plugin, whether it is new features, bug fixes, updates for new versions of NGINX, etc.
You will be asked to answer the following questions when submitting a proposal:
* Have you written an NGINX module before?
* Have you written a C++ module for any web server before (Apache, .Net...)

I've done someting similar recently, will be happy to share.
I have not written an NGINX module before, but being in IoT, I have written many servers and client-server code. I can develop a NGINX module that can handle your API.
Relevant Skills and Experience
I have low level programming experience in *NIX such as driver modules, socket programming to handle raw TCP data.
I routinely handle data at the lowest layer and therefore know internals of HTTP etc
Stay tuned, I'm still working on this proposal.
One of my friends, Egor Lord has already written apache&nginx plugins.
He worked in OpenIAM team(focusing on SSO solution either) asapache & nginx module developeand received good feedback.
Relevant Skills and Experience
He felt proud when he was working with IDFConnect team; he didn't finish it for some reason.
Waiting for your reply.
Best Regards,
