We are developing a QtWebEngine browser . However, QtWebEngine does not support socks5 proxies with authentication (login-password) and DNS are leaking from it. It is necessary to solve these problems.
Details:
QtWebEngine for some reason cannot use authentication in socks5 (RFC 1929) (despite the fact that it supports the protocol itself).
QtWebEngine does not want (in some cases) to resolve domain names through a proxy. When checking dns leaks on [login to view URL] everything is okay and domain names are resolved through a proxy, but when checking on [login to view URL] domain names are resolved through a gateway.
Possible solutions:
Rewrite QtWebEngine, add socks5 authentication and somehow solve the problem with DNS leak.
Or create a special local server that will work with browser connects (or intercepts browser traffic and redirects it through proxies) [including DNS requests, of course] {however, in this case you need to know that the user may have several browser windows open with different proxies}.
And You may be able to find another way.
For tests, you can use this browser: [login to view URL]
Hello
I read your explanation carefully.
I am interested in your project and I think you can finish the project with my skills.
You can test me every day through the process of working on a project.
