Your Way Recovery, a free, online recovery support program. In our program, we provide information on the underlying brain functions behind addiction. We also offer education about how certain practices alter that brain function. Through tools that don't affect the addiction directly, but it's root cause, we offer a non-invasive option that yields faster, more permanent results. When participants understand the conditions behind addiction, they can let go of feelings of shame and guilt, and feel empowered to change the condition. They are also more likely to use practices when they understand how and why they work. I've been teaching the information taught in Your Way Recovery for nearly eight years, as an alternative to pharmaceutical treatment and am currently in the early stages of clinical trials. I had a goal to offer a program at the end of my clinical trials. However, as the need for social distancing increased, I began thinking of all the meetings that carried me through the worst days of my recovery. I can't imagine what it is like for those who can't get to a meeting. So, I want to offer something people in recovery can access at home. Another thing that has weighed on me is the cost of most recovery programs. The overhead of running a recovery center can create situations that exclude certain people from participating in long-term personal support. When I needed recovery programs the most, I had the least amount of money, and for me, there weren't many free options for treatment available. All I had were my meetings. In response to the current social conditions, I decided to release my program early and have made it available to the general public for free through an online support course. Your Way Recovery is not here to replace pre-existing treatment options. Our goal is to partner with companies to offer a free, at-home tool to support individuals in their recovery program. Participants can use the program to boost the potential success of their current treatment program or as a stand-alone practice. We are here to support recovery, for all participants, suffering any addiction—whether they have an existing practice or not. I am reaching out today because I am ready to launch the program on June 27, 2020, but we do not have enough funding to cover current costs. I am doing my best to raise money, working around the clock to ensure this project's success. However, I am not a professional fundraiser. I think this is an amazing cause, but I need help to get it off its feet. Someone who can develop a partnership with the program, so I can invest my time supporting the participants.
