My client, a large and reputable Fortune 500, is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to work remotely from the United States. Responsibilities Include: - Code and process medical claims forms for payment ensuring all information is supplied before eligible payments are made. - Research and analyze medical claim issues Requirements: All interested candidates must possess the following: - Highschool Diploma or Equivalent - At least 1 year of related experience preferably within a medical or dental environment - Ability to work remotely from home with a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection - Previous experience using PC related software programs - Prior claims processing experience - Familiarity with medical terminology ALL candidates MUST be US based. 2 week training will be provided by the employer.

Hi there, Thanks for posting this job. I have more than 5 years experience working as a VA for many successful clients and I have the adequate knowledge of claim processing. Although, I don't have any experience working in the medical field or of medical terminology but I am sure I can easily handle once trained with minimum supervision. About me, Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper. Enter all payments if needed and assure correct allocations, distribution in accordance with the established protocol. Daily review of all postings before claim submission. Perform monthly, closing, and balancing no later than the 10th of every month. Review monthly reports printed. Hi I am a qualified Dental Assistant in South Africa. I unfortunately do not reside in the USA.l, which probably already disqualifies me. But please check out my profile. My work experience on Dental Assistanting and all the duties in office is described there, if it coincides with your system it won't be a problem. I worked with 3 different dental medical systems in my years, and in South Africa they all have the same functions mostly, so it was easy to learn something new. I worked with claims everyday. I do not know if you have the same system and codes as we do. But we worked with ICD 10 codes. We placed the procedure codes into the Computer System(Elixer, Exact, Medi-Mass) which was sent either to the medical insurance/aid or to the patient directly. Sometimes we sent everything through once a day. Mostly the Doctor adds the codes after his procedure is done, we seldom added procedure codes on his behalve, but we checked everything before we send it.
