Changes to existing database (Access; SQLite; VBA)

The selected developer will be provided with an Access project (Access 2010; *.accdb) that contains a database, a switchboard, a print feature and seven existing reports. We hope to select a coder on September 19. The work required is as follows: 1. Database a. Replace the existing access database with SQLite b. The existing database contains less than five tables, and less than 30 fields c. “Category” and “Categories”: replace these words with “Group” and “Groups” i. In database fields/tables, as well as Switchboard elements and reports d. Split “Role” into “Time” and “Imp” i. Currently, there is a table called tblRoles – replace this table with two new tables, tblTime and tblImp. Both of the new tables will have the same config as the existing tblRoles – alter field names according to the new table name e. If data entered by user exceeds that available in a given field, inform the user of the limit and that it has been exceeded. f. Maintain ability to use and paste international characters (for example, those commonly used in French) 2. Switchboard a. Alter existing switchboard (and all 6 underlying screens/forms) to reflect the changes to the database (new fields , new names, etc. as described above) 3. Print feature a. This feature is access via a command button in frmSOP form b. Alter the print feature to reflect changes in the database 4. Reports a. Alter existing reports (there are 8 reports, referring to 5 queries) to reflect the changes to the database (new fields etc, as described above) 5. Migration Tool a. Develop and provide a mechanism to allow the migration of data contained in the existing *.accdb database into the new SQLite database. 6. Ensure the resulting product a. is compatible with Windows 7 and later versions of Windows b. allows undistorted pasting from other applications 7.
