Hi, I have a couple of questions:
**Do you currently have a web hosting service that supports Class ASP?
If not, the program could be written in Excel and the Excel program would pull the web pages and present the results.
In fact, this may be a better solution for you.
** Are all the prices you are looking for from the same web site (i.e., in your example Walmart)?
If yes, then I have no further questions.
If "No", then I need to know how many other web sites?
As I suspect you realize each web site has a different code to identify product/ prices and each web site would be different code to pull the information you are looking for.
** How will you "send" the list of URLs to the program we develop?
One option might be a text box in a form where you would input the list if URls or if you go the Excel route the URLs would be in a separate Worksheet.
I assume the output would look something like, assume a delimiter |:
<URL>|ShopBedding Luxury Satin Pillowcase for Hair – King Satin Pillowcase with Zipper, Sage (Pillowcase Set of 2) – Blissford|15.99|19.99|Date/Time Stamp
Where <URL> is the web page
"Shop..." is the product name
15.99 is the low price
19.99 is the high price
Date/Time Stamp is the date and time of the price "pull"
Once we understand where you are headed I can give you an extremely low bid.
Thanks in advance for your time,
Ray Frye
