Drupal developer for maintaining the website

We are a software product company and have our website developed on Acquia flavor of Drupal. Looking for a person who has experience in Drupal development for maintaining our website. The work will involve taking calls with the US team late night India (up to 11pm) for understanding requirements and deciding the work aspects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Drupal CMS in Acquia environment for our marketing website

• Work alongside our cross-functional team of Designers, Content Creators, Developers, SEO and QA to own all aspects of our marketing website and other customer-facing web properties while continuously delivering improvements and new features

• Gather requirements for new pages and determine which components will best serve the content and overall experience

• Assist with website administration, including updating Drupal core and contributed modules on development, staging and production environments

• Provide development support by coding templates for landing pages and emails hosted in Marketo

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in Drupal application development and testing, with 1+ years' SDLC implementation experience

• Must be experienced in Drupal 8 site building and theme development using Drupal-adjunct technologies such as the LAMP platform, Twig, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, jQuery and JavaScript.

• Familiar with Javascript build and automation tools – Gulp

• Experience developing responsive and mobile-optimized websites, views and block management, Composer and Drush, relational databases – MySQL

• Ability to work effectively in the command line interface or GUI Tool – Git, GitLab, SSH & FTP

• Experience with advanced site building tools in Drupal 8 such as Views, search (Solr or equivalent), Drupal APIs

• Ability to evaluate and select Drupal modules for desired functionality based on release and maintenance status, community dedication and usage, security issues, and availability of documentation

• Working experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

• Understanding of the SDLC (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and website development best practices (specifically related to Drupal)

• Experience with modern web development best practices for speed

• Basic knowledge of SEO best-practices

• Enthusiasm for learning new tools and techniques and for knowledge sharing

• Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
