Drupal editorial experience enhancement (WYSIWYG etc.)

We run Drupal 7 websites. We want to be able to setup the same content editing experience across each website. We already run our code from Git so we want a quick and easy way to put this work live, probably using Drush. We require a document explaining exactly how this works so we can extend this work in the future if we wish. We currently use tinyMCE and we want to set up our WYSIWYG with far more styles that work in the front-end. We've had a lot of trouble before trying to get that to work so we want a well documented guide on how to do that.

We want photo editing to include crop and positioning rather than auto-crop + CDN (possibly), we want recommendations on best practice and the best Drupal tools used by the Drupal community. We also want it to be seamlessly upgradable to Drupal 8 (or 9) when we decide to make that upgrade.

You need to demonstrate an understanding of these elements and demonstrate previous successful experience in this specific area.
