Extract from Excel workbook (xls & xlsx) sheets range of cells as list of arrays (examples enclosed) using apache poi

Example of excel workbook attached. for each workbook sheet: Extraction algorithm: loop on all 1st column cells - subsequent empty cells or cells starting with "#" are managed as range of cell separator - when a cell is not empty: . the first line is managed as title row . subsequent rows as data rows . until reaching the next empty/"#" cell (end of current range of cells) Then reiterate with the next rangeMax number of rows per sheet: 64000 Range of cells content are saved in a: List<String[rows][columns]> where rows is the number of rows in an extracted range of cells, and columns number of colums In attached example range of cells to extract are identified by the same cell color background gui: simple trivial window with a "load" button to select the excel file to open and an editbox to display read ranges Environment: eclipse/maven 3/java 8 (application migrated later to 11)/apache poi
