Full Stack LAMP Engineer

We are in need of an experienced full stack LAMP developer to join our team, in an ad hoc hourly capacity.

To be a great fit for this role, you should possess most or all of the following skills and characteristics:

- Expert level PHP skills

--- Experience with CorePHP and Zend is a must.

--- Experience with Zend UI kits

--- Good understanding of PHP and SQL security best practices

--- Experience with PHPUnit. Selenium is a plus.

--- Magento/Magento 2 experience is highly desirable.

--- Experience developing Rest APIs. GraphQL is a plus

--- Composer package management

--- Obsessive about writing clean, organized, efficient, and well-documented code

- Database

--- Excellent knowledge of MySQL, including database construction, triggers, stored procedures

--- Experience with and query optimization using explain and profiling

--- You should be comfortable working with and writing advanced SQL queries that are clean and efficient

-Frontend development

--- HTML

--- CSS (With CSS methodologies, such as BEM)

--- LESS/SASS

--- jQuery

--- Bootstrap

--- Pixel perfect frontend implementation should be the only way that you work

--- Cross-browser and fluid responsiveness should be core to your workflow

--- Knowledge of React, Vue, Angular is a plus.

--- Familiarity with general web performance optimization best practices (DOM size, number of connections, critical CSS, CSS/JS minification, image compression, webP etc, etc)

- DevOps

--- Apache/Nginx configuration

--- Composer

--- Linux power-user. (CentOS or Ubuntu experience preferred)

--- Be able to setup Cron jobs

--- Experience debugging issues by looking at server logs.

Soft Skills and Abilities

- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English is a must.

- Development team-lead experience a big plus

- Ability to work on multiple projects

- Works organized, quickly, and efficiently

- Adaptable to new technologies and techniques

- Comfortable working within and meeting deadlines

- Solid Troubleshooting skills, solving issues as they arise.

- Energetic, self motivated with a strong worth ethic, and a team player with a cooperative attitude.
