I live in the UK Birmingham area
I have a nextion touch display 5 inch
Arduino mega
I am also thinking about raspberry Pi but don't know which board
my goal is to control temperature humidity heating lighting one dehumidifier and a humidifier. One intake fan one exhaust fan.
And the relay board to turn everything on and off. Don't know which board.
Example daytime turn lights on at a certain time when temperature or humidity reaches 26° the fans come on at 50%
if temperature or humidity reaches 30° fans come on at 100%.
When lights go off I need to reduce temperature and humidity by a couple of degrees and if temperature drops below 22° heater comes on then turns off at a certain temperature and the same for the dehumidifier and humidifier.
Arduino mega nextion touchscreen.
On the display pad show time and date temperature and humidity on the right-hand side have boxes listing all my equipment with the background colour showing red for off and green for on.
I also need next page with code pad so I can get in settings and change time date temperature and so on.
I know I need some kind of time module to keep accurate time Wi-Fi
Raspberry Pi use the same touchscreen showing exactly the same as I explained above but without the keypad which I believe I can change settings from my PC and my iPad.
My biggest concern is power cuts I need these boards to come back on and carry on working without me having to press anything because I sometimes work away 100% foolproof.
I've heard raspberry Pi doesn't take kindly to power cuts or am I wrong.
Thanks Paul
