Job description The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects. Responsibilities Revise, edit, proofread & optimize web content Work with cross-functionally to enhance the overall user experience of our platforms Own various design tasks involved in the web development life cycle from start to finish Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science At least 2 - 4 years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Angular Proficiency in at least one server-side technology (Java, PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby) Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP Understanding of MVC design patterns Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
