I am launching a delivery service. Below is a step by step of how the process is run for a start before a more streamlined process is in place. 1.) Customer places order and pays for items online from their favorite stores. *Customer selects pick up when paying online. 2.) Customer uploads/sends details to us through our website [name, pick up store, address, order number, time of delivery and instructions]. Payment can be made online for delivery or on delivery. 3.) Order is allocated to a courier driver and details in 2 above is sent by SMS to the driver. Driver details also sent to the customer. 4.) Courier driver delivers to customer at specified address. Note - Items we deliver - groceries, flowers, kitchenware, cosmetic products. Request - Simple, beautiful and functional website to process steps 2 and 3 above. Receive customer orders and assign to drivers, While I know there are opportunities to improve this i.e. have customers shop directly through our site so customers don't have to log on 2 sites, this is the starting point until we gain the confidence of the stores.
