Task: Reach out to all our nurses across Asia Pacific (working in our own dialysis clinics) and our patients (receiving dialysis therapy from us) on World Hand Hygiene Day to raise awareness for the importance of Hand Hygiene Target group: Medical Care nurses and patients across Asia Pacific Goal: Raise awareness – with an interactive / fun/ engaging mini-campaign (while still being ‘scientifically correct’ in terms of contents) - for the ‘dry/ unattractive’ topic of Hand Hygiene as this is of critical importance in our clinics Deliverables: 1. Basic campaign idea – incl. slogan/ theme and key visual 2. Sketch of communication channels you would use to reach out to both ‘internal’ target groups (note: digital communication options for patients/ nurses are limited, therefore print, as well as on-site activities in the clinics are preferred) 3. Interactive communication elements to get the target groups buy-in & attention / call for action (please differentiate between nurses and patients) 4. Two print leaflets (1 page each) – one for patients, one for nurses – with copywriting and your first creative design ideas The above can be delivered in any powerpoint . World Hand Hygiene Day is a reminder to all of us that clean hands are an important part of our lives and count everyday. The World Health organisation (WHO) aims to unite the discussion on the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare and its overall improvement worldwide by bringing people together to unite in this cause. It only takes seconds for hands to get contaminated!  There can be as many as 1,000 resident germs per cm2 on a hand1  A single hand can have a population count of over 200 million germs per square inch1  Germs can stay alive on hands for up to 3 hours1  20-30 seconds is all it takes to wash your hands properly1  There are only 5 steps to cleaning your hands
