I use number of technologies based on the web page content, navigation, pagination etc. If the scraper you have is in a working state but not efficient I suggest you to try using a different approach. I consider an efficient scraper to not overload the website server, does not miss information in special scenarios, time it takes to scrape data, to be able to resume from the point where it was terminated etc. I will analyze or debug the code and if it is efficient then I will fix it. Or else if the scraper can be modified with a different approach/technology then I will develop an API using Java to scrape the website. Contact me if you want to hear more about my proposal.
