We use DocFetcher (a freeware) at work to search information. We’d like to have it programmed so as to display pdf files as embedded documents (in the view pane,) rather than as rich text document. The developer admits that it’s do-able only that he’s not keen on doing so because of possible limitations; - it may only run on Windows and support Adobe Reader. I dont have any problem with that myself.
Required: Skilled programmer with experience in Java to work with a view of being contracted again to enhance efficiency of the resultant program in future to enable it support automatic indexing (as files would be saved at a specific database and updated from time to time) and enhance navigation so that ICT personnel doesn’t need to go to every department to assist the users.
