Looking for an all-star engineer to build our web app

The project: A web application dashboard for our clients. The dashboard must have the ability for our clients and administrators to log in, and allow the administrators to present data to the clients. A specification for the project will be given once you accept. Requirements: A minimum of one year experience with web development (with a language other than PHP) Comfortable with Linux Know JavaScript (and preferably TypeScript), HTML, and CSS Familiar with at least one front-end framework such as Knockout, Angular 2, or Ember.js Know at least one modern back-end language, such as Python, Java, Scala, Rust, or Go (functional languages a plus). Experience with Node may be an acceptable substitute. Expectations: You will mostly be working independently, but will have the ability to check in with our Team Lead, who can provide guidance and advice. You should be comfortable with algorithms, data structures, and system design. Regular code reviews and daily stand ups will be required. This project should take 3-4 weeks to complete, polish, and launch. ------------------------------------------------- If this is something you’re interested in, please submit your resume along with a solution to the following coding exercise: Make a to-do list web app. Use a back-end language of your choice, and whatever framework works best. Acceptable back-end languages (in order of preference) include, but are not limited to, Python, Java, Scala, Rust, Go, Haskell, and Ruby. Submissions using PHP or Perl will be rejected. Your submission must work on Linux and Unix systems (including MacOS). Make a web front-end, preferably using TypeScript, using a framework of your choice (Angular 2 recommended and preferred) with the following capabilities: Add a to-do item Edit a to-do item Remove a to-do item Mark a to-do as completed View to-do items with the ability to View all to-do items It should be clear whether an item in this view is completed or not View only not completed items View only completed items It is preferred that the front-end and back-end are separate systems that communicate via an API. You will be evaluated on code structure/architecture/reuse, test coverage, API design, documentation, and general polish. Be prepared to justify technical decisions and choice of frameworks, especially if straying from the recommendations. Bonus points: Decent design and visual polish Front-end tests To submit, create a GitHub repository with a “frontend” folder and a “backend” folder, which will contain the front-end and back-end code, respectively. Each of these should have a “[login to view URL]” Markdown file, which should detail how to: Build the project (if applicable) Initialize the database (if applicable) Run the project (start the server) Run the tests for the project (Bonus) Run the test coverage for the project
