I would like to order a simple script with html file.
The HTML file should have a form, with 3 input boxes and submit button.
First two input boxes id/names are: source, destination
Third box is a textarea.
Input boxes should autocomplete/suggest locations based on whatever user types in, via maps api.
This is handled by google maps api anyway, just need autocomplete in place
Once user clicks the address, or provides full address, the address and location is fetched and displayed on the map below the form.
Map should be visible for the whole timem, initially just image of the UK map- so there are no api calls prior to location search (save bandwidth).
After two locations are chosen (source, destination), maps should show the directions for the car only (all other maps buttons should be blocked except the zoom in/out).
After the user clicks on submit the button, ajax post should send data to '/api/get_details'.
The JSON sent via ajaxm should contain the following information:
- source (source should be city name only, so Oxford, London, Manchester etc..)
- destination (same as above)
- details_all (this hould have all the info from the form, so unmodified source, destination and textarea details).
Hey, I've already started working on your project, it is currently displaying driving route only for selected destinations (dropdown shows cities only), only the AJAX call is left to be done.
Hi there. I have development experience in Google Map API, and I can create the web page you need. I need a little clarification the third textarea input (I understand the first two inputs are the addresses). May I know what is the 3rd input used for?
Thanks, and I look forward to hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Jack
