Hello, I have a live webserver running ubuntu 16.04. I have different websites (5 different domain names) running as virtualhosts on the apache server. The root directory of the webserver is not the default /var/www/html but another directory. This is because of historical reasons. I was using ubuntu 14.04, but since the upgrade, I have problems accessing certain websites and I just seems to to be able to solve the issue. Who can help me. I guess it is about 10 to 15 minutes work for someone who is very good in setting up apache web servers. I want you to check the configuration and figure out the issue. How can you access: I will give you access with teamviewer that is running on the ubuntu server. I will follow your moves as I want to learn as well. Before you want to take this project, please if you can or cannot access the following websites from your location: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] For some very strange reason, it only gives errors with some visitors, not all. It would be good if you get access deniet to one of the above servers, because that is the issue. I cannot reproduce the error on my own computer, only from my smartphone. I get the error NOT FOUND The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Hello I am system and network administrator, with more then 10 years of experience. I worked with different services and servers, particularly, designing of local datacenter, management of local and remote sites, and cloud environments. The above-mentioned experience includes work with virtualization technologies, mostly based on VMWare products, cloud services such as AWS, DigitalOcean, and etc. I have proven knowledge in networking and security, thanks to the work experience and Cisco training sessions I participated. The short list of the servers and services include but are not limited to: Web Server (Apache, Nginx, IIS), Mail Server (Postfix, Exim, PowerMTA), DNS Server (BIND, Unbound, MS DNS), Firewalls (Iptables, PFSense, etc.), basic scripting (BASH) etc. I believe my skills and qualifications correspond to the requirements. I have 10 years experience in managing Server Linux and those include CentOS, Ubuntu, FreeBSD. I suspect the issue was because of the configuration in Apache and .htaccess file in your webdirectory after you upgrade to Ubuntu 16.

I have more than 10 years of experience in web development and love to troubleshoot and explore. That being said, you probably changed servers lately or maybe just have a new IP? Your domains load fine, even from South Korea (VPN), but lack a DNS entry for www. (i.e. your sites won't load if someone forgets the www. part). If you did change servers (or just have a new IP), it could be that some of your visitors still resolve your old IP address and get redirected to the old server. You could check the logs there. If you find this information useful, or it turns out to be true, even if you don't award me the project, please drop a line to say if I had guessed correctly. Thanks

Sounds odd that and a moving target. Would have to look at the apache config closly to vet any visible errors
