Hello, I have more than 10 years of experience as a sysadmin and technical support staff for a company that sells web hosting, VPS, VPN, Cloud solutions, ... Without including all the experience I got by trials at home, with my own hardware, because I enjoy discovering and playing with new technologies / software, made easy with containers like Docker and virtual machines (KVM). Your goal is clear: you want the Docker container to appear on the LAN next to two physical machines. I am used to do this with Docker (macvlan driver) and virtual machines (KVM with macvlan or bridge). Do you have an unusual network setup that would prevent an additional system to join the LAN (NAC, VLAN, 802.1X-based authentication, ...) or reach the Internet (firewall), or can I assume that any computer you plug into the switch gets an Internet access?
