Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - wil need to know how the disk will be kept in place... 2 - the pressure (i guess) is only from one side... (this will determine the geometry) 3 - will need to run a fea analysis in order to find the proper thickness 4 - what material to be?... we could discuss all the details here... Regards Bogdan

Hi. I understand that you need to design a disc which ruptured at the required pressure greater than or equal to 180psi. This requires design and simulation of the disc to validate its operation. To design the disc you need proper selection of material and it’s dimensions along with proper tolerance for manufacturing. It may also include certain heat treatment of the material to provide the desired safe rupture operation. I have experience of 21 years in a design and development organization. I have good knowledge and skills in modeling and simulation of these kinds of seals and rupture discs in LSDYNA and ansys workbench environment. Also developing these kind of seals requires knowledge of its interface with the assembly in which it is deployed. I assure you that I can provide you with the design solution for this kind of seal.
