The goal of this project is to build a very cost effective temperature monitoring system with multiple temperature probles. See attachment first! The idea is the following: - Given a few DS18B20 one-wire temperature sensors in proper enclosure (example: [login to view URL]) - Given an Arduino Nano hardware (example: [login to view URL]) - Given a Linux-based laptop with a USB port (can be a Raspberry Pi or any Linux-based laptop) The goal of this project is: 1) To build a small size and *very cost effective* Arduino Nano based hardware I can attach multiple temperature sensors to (multiple = 1-8) 2) To enclose the hardware into a nice enclosing box: (nice transparent boxes strongly preferred) (example: [login to view URL]) 3) It's perfectly fine to attach the sensors through screw terminals (example: [login to view URL] or [login to view URL]) 4) This project should come with a software for the Arduino Nano that will read information from each sensor and send them over the USB port into the Linux machine. (Can be any format: CSV, JSON - it doesn't matter). Source code should be included. 5) The solution should be easy to assemble, therefore standard Arduino Nano shields and ready made enclosures are welcome. 6) I would like to get a prototype fully soldered and ready to use. (I will cover hardware cost and postage cost within Europe) If the prototype is working well the there is a possibility for future cooperation: I'd like to built a second device with either Ethernet or Wifi interface. It involves the usage of these temp sensors(DS18B20) connected to the 1-wire port too. Instead of Arduino I acomplished it using only a Raspberry pi. What I can offer you is only the software solution, what if we dismiss the arduino nano and put all these sensors into the raspi? Also, I can offer you something extra good for the output. I'm well experienced with linux based solutions and embedded solutions using Arduino, ESP8266 and ESP32 platforms. I can design a custom single PCB which is fully arduino nano compatible and make easy to attach temperature sensor probes. I'll develop required application software to capture data from the device and save or send (upload) as per your requirement.
