Cordova or Phonegap style development

We need to develop a native app that will initially be built in English, for either Android, with the option to deploy to Apple, and also to web, at a later date. As you can see, this would suit a wrapper-based approach, rather than custom dev for the specific platforms. Generally, what we’re looking for is: • A quiz based app, 12 questions, sliding scale answers between 0-8, results uploaded to a server if connection available, stored locally and uploaded next time a connection is available. The app is for use in remote, rural areas, so may be many quizzes taken while no connection available. • The database solution will be REDCap. For quoting assume a stable, functional instance will be made available to you. • Workflow comprises: • Enter identifying information –Medicare number in Australia, equivalent ID elsewhere • Present questions one at a time, each on its own screen. • Responses presented as a scale, with clickable numbers for response. • Forward and back buttons available to navigate through questions. • Submit button at the end of the quiz. • If no connection is available, data is stored on device until one is available, then uploaded. o App should indicate that responses are stored locally, and how many. o When data is uploaded, this should be shown too • Data will be transmitted / uploaded to a REDCap instance. The app is not for general distribution, so we would need to look at both Apple and Google’s enterprise app deployment facilities to allow restricted distribution through the App and Play stores, to selected institutions and / or people. Please assume designs will be provided, unless you have strong skills in that area, in which case please quote separately for the design. So – what I’d like please is a quote for: • Developing this app for Android • Deployment to Play Store Then, if you can: • Porting to Apple • Releasing on App Store • Releasing a web version And also • What it would cost per language, per platform to release in other languages.
