Add cookies to MEAN app that uses SAML login

Current Situation: We have set up a SAML instance that will be used to login to several different applications, currently, two applications are connected to it; Knowledge Platform and our MEAN app. When a user logs in to the Knowledge Platform via SAML, a cookie is created and stored on the browser. This is used for future logins just like a normal cookie. Our MEAN app is able to login via SAML but is however is not creating a cookie, and is not checking for existing cookies created if a user logs in to the Knowledge Platform. Expected Project Deliverable Modify the MEAN app to do the following: 1) Create a secure cookie on login; that can be used to identify and login a user on successive visits as long as it is still valid. It should have a 30 day expiry. 2) On load, it should check if there is an existing cookie, if so, user that to login the user. It should be able to check for cookies created if a user had previously logged in to our Knowledge Platform (they both run on subdomains of our primary domain). 3) On logout, it should remove all the cookies. 4) If a user logs out of the knowledge platform and logs in again using a different user, when the app is reloaded, it should detect the change in cookies and login with the new user. NOTE: The scope of this project is only the MEAN app, no changes will be done on the Knowledge Platform.
