Dear All,
This is Mohammed Soliman. I am doing my own geoscience-related research work. The question here is about a mapping tool (GMT, [login to view URL] ) which I used to use for long time but using a non-parallel coding.
I am approaching out seeking for help regarding the OpenMP parallelization of GMT script (the most recent version 6).
I have a standard GMT script that is doing a heavy gridding job for producing/extrapolating several velocity layers (discontinuities) that I use later for a parallel simulation code.
This GMT script takes a long time ~ 36 hours when using it in serial mode on a powerful workstation. I would like to move this task to our supercomputer, but after modifying it to parallel computing one. The two scripts for running the main code (under slurm environment) as serial and parallel are attached within the dropbox folder as [login to view URL], and [login to view URL], respectively.
Please, may I ask if someone can help for transferring this GMT code to be working as a parallel computing code?
The main code is called gen_ARSM6a1.sh. I attached it with the required data files in case you would like to have them all for a test run.

Thank you for your help!
With my best regards,
