I am after a soft latching circuit to control a 24v power supply. Using a piezo touch switch. The motor can draw up to 120 amps. I would also like it to have some inrush control to stop any sparking if using relay. Would like Berber files so can get pcb made.

I have used similar circuit as part of bigger control unit. Here are few points 1)If the duty cycle of the switch is very high then it is better to use electromechanical relays. As Solid state switching will have some power loss. 2) If frequent On/off is required Solid switches GTO, IGBT, is preferable. The cost of solid state switch is about 5% higher, Alternatively I can provide a dual design where you yourself can replace Relays to solid-state switches and vice versa. The push to on/off logic circuit will remain the same. Surge suppression is a must due to Inductive load. I provide schematic, BOM. and Gerber files for PCBA. Thanks & Regards

My name in Claudiu, I have read your proposal and gone through the images attached and with this in mind all I can say is that I can make a small soft latch PCB having also inrush control for the motor you use. Well Well Well I am an electrical and electronics engineer by profession . But I love designing Circuits and PCB's . I have designed something similar for my client where I used a bypass relay and a PTC for inrush current limiting . And a smps card which creates 24V dc but without a microcontroller in order to make it cheap and reliable . Used full bridge rectifiers and bulky capacitors in order to control upto 180 amps of switching current . If you think I am capable I can share my work with you Regards ....

Hello sir,based on your requirements here is how I intend to achieve this design,I will first design an intush current limiting circuitry and will also design a controller based board that will handle the piezo buttons.
