Pic your favorite File Upload Perl Script and add a simple function to it.
We need the script to reduce the dimensions of every image file uploaded to the server, (which exceed our limit), in order to reduce storage in our server..
If the image file is horizontal, prior to uploading it to the server, the script should check if the file is wider than 400 pixels. If it is wider, then reduce the width to 400 pixels and the height accordingly, keeping original ratio proportions.
If the image file is vertical, prior to uploading it to the server, the script should check if a file is file is higher than 400 pixels. If it is, then reduce the height to 400 pixels and the width accordingly, keeping original ratio proportions.
Confirmation page after files have been uploaded should inform that the files have been downsized if their dimension were reduced.
