Joomla based reversed auction / biding system

Hi everyone, About us: We are a small agency with multiple ongoing projects and we are searching for an experienced PHP/ MYSQL/ Javascript programmer who is familiar with Joomla 1.6 - 1.7 and its MVC structure. Ideally we are interested in finding a stable partner who we will be able to cooperate with on this as well as on other projects in the future. About the current project: For this project we need to have a custom Joomla 1.7 component to be build. The component will function as an online reverse auction system where we are going to have 2 user groups of buyers and sellers. We are not going to handle the checkout process so there is no need for that function at this phase. The buyer should be able to manage their auctions (create new auctions, finish pending auctions and view history / past auctions) The seller should be able to bid by offering the best possible price to the buyer. E-mail notifications play a key role in this component, as they will notify sellers as soon as a new auction is created which matches their profile or criteria. The emails should also be sent to buyers as soon as some one bids on their auction. Additional notes: • Advanced user registration will be needed with 10 or more custom fields • 2 User groups with differing interfaces: o Buyers o Sellers • Auction dashboard interface should have embedded AJAX functionality to allow instant changes. Our team has worked out the layouts and the designs as well as the site-maps, so the programmer doesn't need to worry about the design side of this project.
