MySQL Guru Needed - Please advise me why my website is slow

Hi,
I have just created a new website that has 2 PHP/MySQL applications running. This website seems REAL SLOW. I have opened several trouble tickets with the hosting company, and they assure me that the Network is responding normally.
On my end, I see a slow website that hangs and takes forever to pull data from the database. I have 2 applications running...
LimeSurvey and Jamit Job Board. Both applications are tested and working correctly they are both just so slow... and we don't even have that much data in the database yet.
I need a MySQL guru to analyze both databases and see if he can spot any performance problems. I think it's very odd that both applications are running so slow. I think it is a problem with the hosting, and I am anxious to move this site, if you think that will help.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
