Translation, as a part of overall localization process, is currently achieved by manual translation. It is often a hard and long process with bad translation results. There are many public web services and web pages that provide spelling and grammar functionalities for different languages and translation for language pairs. If we can use functionalities of these providers we will able to speed up the translation process. However, there is no single interface to access these services.
Language Service component serves as a collector of different translation and spelling and grammar providers, such as public web services or web pages, introducing consistent interface to these providers and allowing their monitoring. Language Service speeds up the translation process providing rapid machine translation process with minimal human translations. Spelling and grammar functionality of Language Service minimizes translation errors. In addition, Language Service can be used by entry text controls for automated spelling and grammar or even for an “on demand?? translation.
Lola, Product Localizer, will use functionalities of the Language Service component during localization process for text translation and spelling and grammar of translated text.
End users will use the translation function for an “on demand?? text translation.
End users will, implicitly, use spelling and grammar to check their typing in any text entry control.
