Changes to Magento Store

We currently have an online store which is located at [login to view URL]
All the data is already imported and template is coded however the store still needs some things to be added/polished, most of these are small cosmetic changes but they need to be done/completed anyway.
IMPORTANT! - PLEASE QUOTE EACH OF SECTION SEPARATE AS WE WANT THE PROJECT TO BE DIVIDED INTO MILESTONES.
General comments
? Blocks and texts to be hyprelinked
? Make template easy to manage e.g. there is a lot of static links, some of the links are incorrect.
Static websites
? Websites load correctly however they need some changes to how they look as currently default Magento style is used.
Home page code
? Currently used code is designed with use of incorrect practices- it isn't Magento friendly. This should be fixed
? Use one external file for JavaScript code and place it in the website header- currently it is placed in many different locations.
? Second level of categories in the left column is being displayed incorrently. Categories links are incorrect (with the use quotation marks), links refer to non existing pages. This should be fixed
? Link code at the top of the page menu with the correct categories (service parts section)
? Home page refers and tries to read images that don't exist. This should be fixed.
? Add recommended products to home page - banner slider
? Add bestsellers to homepage - banner slider
? Add plugin, which would allow to manage banners on the home page.
Categories view
? Move changes from the system files into separate plugin which should include an error check
? Style categories view and test it on common browsers
Product page
? Product page loads correctly however it is missing right CSS code. Currently there is used default Magento style. Following changes should be made:
? bookmarks: recommended products, comments (more effective and more user friendly), product technical data, manufacturer description
Search view
? Use advanced search filters- On the basis of car data as well as manufacturer, price, product category for the user to make more specific searches, part number, part name

Shopping cart and checkout process
? Currently default Magento style is used. Changes to be made:
? Implement adding to newsletter during order process and adding comments to the order
? Use style compatible with the template.
? Implement following postcode recognition plugin: [login to view URL]
Shop configuration
? Implement sitemap for search engines.
Other
? CSS code should work correctly with all the browsers e.g. it loads incorrectly on IE8
? Fix changes in Magento system files, made by previous developers e.g. in the files responsible for showing categories and products. Changes in Magento system files is unacceptable.
? Make function used with registration database flexible- currently it is fixed without option to edit it.
? Fix PHP comments as most of the comments are commented incorrectly
