SUMMARY: Pull XML feed into Mysql database, extract data into csv file, pull recurring partial feed to update database, extract recurring updated data into csv file and email it. REQUIREMENTS: Need someone who is skilled in XML and PHP who can: - setup a Mysql database - pull a live feed of 20,000+ products into the database - extract a csv file of all the products (once only) - pull a recurring partial feed to update database - extract recurring csv file of all 'New' products that is automated and to be emailed (5 small developer documents will be provided with the specifics) DETAILS: 1. Setup Mysql database with the fields provided - approximately 38 fields to setup in the database (Field specifics on Product Feed Doc pg6 onwards to be provided) 2. Pull an XML live full feed of all 20,000+ products into database - pull all information for each product and store them in database - pull all images for each product and store them in database - pull all 'Specials' information for each product into database - pull all 'Stock Quantity' information for each product into database 3. Extract csv file from database of several fields of all products (once only) Fields needed for csv file of each product: - Availabiliy - Product code - Title - Barcode - Trade Price - Suggested Retail Price - Product Description - Product Image URL 4. Pull a recurring partial feed of the products to update database - pull all updated products and their information to update the database including 'Specials' data 5. Extract a recurring csv file of all 'New' products once per day and email it - Extract only fields specified in item no. 3 above - Automate a once a day extraction (specified time) and email the file upon completion of extraction (email will be specified) If you have any questions, please ask. Hello! Although in overal none of these shold impose any particular difficulty achieving it I do have some questions regarded the points of most concern. Here they are: 1) I would like to examin teh xml feed file before-hand if possible? 2) Would the feed be radily available (publicly accessible) or it would require logging in? 3) About teh "partial" (new propducts) feed to be pulled, past the initial import. Does the source site provide these readily or it would have to split them from teh same full feed afterwards as well? If the latter would be the case, then how would be decided which ones are to be considered new - some of the product fields in the feed directly, or does it have to check against the database (here looking at the feed as per (1) may help answer this one on my own)? 4) How would teh product images needed to be collected - URLs in teh feed or download from some directory on teh site (as archive maybe, or even FTP to a storage directory)? 5) What do you mean by "recurring" for "new" products?
