API Integration with Node Red

We are looking at the potential for someone to setup Node Red on an Unbunto server and then using this JavaScript framework build an application to transfer customer orders from one system to another.
The data would need to be encrypted as contains personal information.
Only header data really needs to change and exports/imports would be in two parts one for order line details and one for order item details.
Header schema would be provided for both.
One system has a RESTFUL API the other a SOAP based API. Both have documentation.
